The Skylands Preservation Alliance (SPA) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the preservation of the agricultural, historical and ecological heritage of New Jersey’s Skylands communities while fostering sustainable and thoughtful economic development and growth.

Collaborate among and between communities to maintain the rural and bucolic
nature of the New Jersey Skylands and retain its residents’ Quality of Life.

Minimize pollution to the New Jersey Skylands communities’ air, watershed and water supply and limit negative environmental impact on its diverse plant, fish, game and wild life.

Maintain the New Jersey Skylands communities’ health, safety and welfare by
working against additional noise pollution, light pollution, infrastructure overload, congestion and crime.

Promote community participation in land use and regional plans in the Skylands
by disseminating critical information and tools to become pro-active on proposed projects.
